The day of the inspection.
NO CONTACT INSPECTIONS.
When we arrive you will receive our business card and a sticker with the Do's and Don'ts of septic systems when we first arrive. Next we will dig up your septic system. Typically this is done with a shovel. The dirt is put on tarps to protect your lawn. We will often run a camera into you system to see how well it is functioning. A variety of pictures will be taken of your house and septic components for our records. The price includes one man hour of digging which is generally enough time. On rare occasions the septic components are very deep, difficult to find or digging may damage something in the ground like irrigation lines which may increase the cost. We try to be very careful. Digging by hand is the safest and neatest way to expose your septic components. The final report will be emailed to you in 2-3 working days and mailed to the Board of Health. You have the option of making it an unofficial septic inspection. Unofficial inspections are not done on the DEP forms and also are not reported to the Board of Health. We do not install new septic systems, but we do minor repairs like new covers, risers, d boxes and filters. We feel that installing septic systems is a conflict of interest.
DO NOT PUMP THE TANK BEFORE IT IS INSPECTED.
Payment is due the day of the inspection. We accept cash, checks and charge cards.
